SAFETY

Hair colouring can cause skin irritation on certain individuals, so it is recommended to perform a sensitivity test 48 hours before using it.

Please remember to keep the product away from children and store it in a cool and dry place, away from the direct light. It is not intended to dye eyelashes, eyebrows, beards or mustaches. You should immediately rinse your eyes in case of contact with the product.

For more information, read the FAQs on the FAQ page or read the leaflet cautions inside Herbatint package.

TIPS

Sensitivity test

Herbatint is ammonia (which damages hair fibers) free, and does not use parabens as preservatives, or resorcinol for colouring. The absence of alcohol and perfume prevents hair from drying. It does not contain Nickel and the developer that is used contains a very low concentration of hydrogen peroxide (less than 3% after having been mixed), an amount that is well below the 6% limit fixed by European legislation (EC NO 1223/2009).

Herbatint’s gel formula has been successfully tested on sensitive skin. However it is always preferable to perform a sensitivity test 48 hours before it is used, to detect any intolerance to ingredients contained in the product.

Follow a few simple steps:

  • Wash the skin area chosen for the test (we recommend the area inside of the forearm or behind the ear)with soap and water and gently dry.
  • Mix equally small amounts of Herbatint colouring and developer in a plastic or glass container. Reseal the bottles.
  • Apply few drops of the mixture on the area chosen for testing, allow it to dry and cover it with a patch.
  • Wait 48 hours without washing.

After 48 hours, if there is no allergic reaction, you can apply Herbatint. Conversely, if the area should show redness, irritation, itching or burning, rinse it immediately with cold water and give up colouring. If the problem persists, you should contact a doctor.
