This video shows how to apply Herbatint Permanent Coloring Gel.
Before application – Sensitivity test
- Take a small amount of colour with a cotton bud.
- Place it on a plaster.
- Stick the plaster on the forearm and wait 48 hours to check for any reactions.
What you need
- A towel
- A bowl
- A measuring cup
- A comb
- A protective barrier cream
- Clips
- A brush
Herbatint box contents
- 1 colour bottle (60 ml)
- 1 developer bottle (60 ml)
- 1 Royal Cream conditioner (50 ml)
- Instructions printed inside the box
- 1 pair of protective gloves
Step‑by‑step procedure
- Preparation: Place the towel over your shoulders and secure it with a clip to protect your clothes.
- Put on the gloves: Always wear the enclosed gloves to protect your hands throughout the process.
- Prepare the mixture: Pour equal parts colour and developer into the bowl. Mix well until you obtain a smooth gel. Any unused, unmixed product can be stored for future applications.
- Protect the skin: Apply the barrier cream along the hairline (forehead, ears, hairline) to avoid staining.
- Start application: Using the brush, apply the product to the hairline. With the comb, divide the hair into four sections to help achieve even coverage.
- Treat regrowth: Apply a generous amount of product to the regrowth to achieve optimal grey coverage.
- Processing time: Leave the colour on for 40 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the hair with plenty of water until the product is completely removed.
- Wash the hair: Use your regular shampoo or Herbatint Color Safe Shampoo for optimal colour longevity.
- Apply conditioner: Use the Royal Cream conditioner included in the box. Apply to the lengths, leave briefly, then rinse.
- Dry the hair: Blot with a towel and proceed to complete drying.
Final result
Intensely coloured, shiny hair with even grey coverage.
