Fair Selection and Talent Development Policy

1. Purpose and scope of application
This policy establishes the company’s commitment to promoting fair selection and hiring practices, avoiding the perpetuation of any pay disparities experienced by candidates in previous work experiences and rewarding what talent can offer the company today and in the future, without reference to how much they were paid in the past by third parties.
The company does not ask candidates for information about salary history and does not ask for desired salary, except in cases where the company has first shared a pay scale / range for the role. Antica Erboristeria S.p.A. SB is committed to evaluating applications on the basis of skills, experience, role responsibilities and objective criteria, ensuring transparency and internal consistency in decisions regarding job classification and economic offer.
This policy applies to all internal and external selection and hiring processes operated by or on behalf of Antica Erboristeria S.p.A. SB.
2. Guidelines
Anyone participating in the selection process, including HR, Hiring Managers, interviewers, recruiting companies and external consultants, is prohibited from:
- Asking directly or indirectly about the candidate’s salary history;
- Requesting documents that reveal salary history, such as payslips or salary statements, except for any requirements after hiring and only where provided for by applicable law, such as for administrative purposes, and in any case without using them to determine the offer;
- Asking the candidate for their desired salary or economic expectations, unless the company has first shared a pay scale or range for the role.
If the range has been shared, it is permitted to ask whether the range is compatible with the candidate’s expectations or to collect an indicative indication within the range.
Permitted and recommended practices are:
- Clearly communicating the pay range for the role and the main elements of the package, such as benefits, variable pay and job classification;
- Asking the candidate to confirm that the range is compatible with their expectations;
- Defining the economic offer on the basis of objective criteria: seniority, skills, responsibilities, market, internal equity, role budget and structured evaluation.
3. Management of spontaneously shared information
If a candidate spontaneously shares information about salary history, the interviewer must avoid exploring it further and redirect the conversation to the role criteria and the communicated range. Such information must not be used as a determining basis for the economic offer or recorded in selection systems unless strictly necessary.
4. Approval and transparency
This Policy has been formally approved and will be reviewed every three years. In order to ensure maximum transparency towards our stakeholders, the document is published permanently on the official website of Antica Erboristeria S.p.A. SB.
